Recently I had the opportunity to visit a friend in Western Australia, and we went to the Western Australia(WA) Army Barrack Museum in Fremantle, which has a killer view of the port and Indian Ocean from the front gate.If you know some people, you might get to the watch tower above the barracks for an even better view, I should know ;-).
This museum is small , under 15 vehicles on display outside, but inside there is some interesting and great stuff. Outside you have basically the vehicles that the Australian Army has used, from the Grant, Stuart tanks to the Staghound and beyond.
The vehicles are undergoing restoration at a slow pace, and are in my opinion, in bad shape or worse. Inside the barracks block, you'll see the history of the WA Army , from WW1 to Bosnia and Tumor. The Japanese POW camp section is very impressive and gruesome. Visit the museum if you can, as of now they don't have a web site to check out, sorry.
