On 11 April 06 the IPMS Sumter Club held its Large Model Intra-Club Contest during regularly scheduled meeting. There were three entries completed in time for the contest. Paul Lovell's Airfix 1/24th scale Me109E Emil took the top Gold Award. Tony Abbott's Hasagawa 1/72nd scale B-17G Flying Fortress with the Silver award. Tim Darrah's Italeri 1/72nd scale B-58 Hustler took the Bronze award.
